Gold price increases by Rs7,700, reaches to Rs480,962 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): The local market witnessed a sharp surge in gold prices on Monday, with 24-karat gold per tola jumping by Rs7,700 to close at Rs480,962.

The cost of 10 grams of the same gold also rose significantly, increasing by Rs6,602 to Rs412,347, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).

The upward trend extended to 22-karat gold, as 10 grams gained Rs6,052, bringing the price to Rs377,998.

Silver prices followed a similar pattern, with 24-karat silver per tola rising by Rs.430 to Rs8,895, while 10 grams of silver climbed by Rs369 to Rs7,626.

Globally, the precious metals market also showed gains, with gold rising by $77 to $4,586 per ounce and silver adding $4.30 to reach $84.20 per ounce, the association reported.
