Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has once again emphasized Pakistan’s firm determination to confront all forms of extremism, terrorism, hatred, and violent ideologies with unwavering resolve.

In his message on the occasion of International Day for the Prevention of Violent Extremism, he reflected on the nation’s enduring sacrifices in its fight against terrorism over the past decades.

PM Shehbaz paid homage to the bravery of security personnel and the resilience of ordinary citizens, noting that their sacrifices remain a proud symbol of Pakistan’s national commitment.

He pointed out that extremist and violent beliefs not only threaten societal peace and stability but also undermine essential human values, including compassion, tolerance, respect, and coexistence.

The prime minister stressed that Islam promotes peace, moderation, dialogue, and respect for human life.

He underlined the importance of shielding young people from extremist thought by ensuring access to education, opportunities, and a positive outlook.

PM Shehbaz further stated that social justice, inclusive economic growth, and interfaith harmony form the foundation for enduring peace, while global injustices, unresolved conflicts, and violations of human rights often fuel extremism and violence.

Turning to the international stage, the prime minister highlighted ongoing disputes, including those in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and Palestine, where innocent civilians face oppression and denial of basic rights, as factors that foster extremist tendencies.

He urged the global community to actively pursue fair and peaceful resolutions to these long-standing crises.

PM Shehbaz reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to collaborating with the international community through partnerships, coordinated strategies, and collective action to eradicate violent extremism and advance a just and peaceful world order.
