Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices in Pakistan soared to a new record on Saturday, as the cost of 24 karat gold climbed by Rs1,800 per tola, reaching an unprecedented Rs340,600.
This marked a jump from Rs338,800 recorded on the previous trading day.
All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price for 10 grams of 24 karat gold also witnessed a notable increase, rising by Rs1,543 to settle at Rs292,009.
Similarly, 10 grams of 22 karat gold saw an uptick, now priced at Rs267,684 compared to Rs266,261 a day earlier.
In contrast to gold's momentum, silver prices showed no movement, maintaining their previous rates. A tola of silver continued to trade at Rs3,234, while 10 grams remained steady at Rs2,772.
On the global front, gold registered a gain of $18 per ounce, pushing international rates from $3,218 to $3,236.
However, silver prices remained flat in the global market as well, holding steady at $31.30 per ounce.
