Security forces kill 19 Fitna al-Khwarij in separate KP operations

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Security forces killed 19 militants belonging to the Indian proxy group Fitna al-Khwarij in three separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on September 9–10, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on the reported presence of Khwarij, an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted by the Security Forces in the general area of Guluno, Mohmand District.

“During the conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location, and after an intense fire exchange, fourteen Indian sponsored khwarij were sent to hell,” the statement said.

It added that another intelligence-based operation was conducted in the general area Datta Khel, North Waziristan District, and in the ensuing fire exchange, four more Khwarij were neutralized by the security forces.

In another encounter that took place in Bannu District, one more Khwarij was neutralized by the security forces.

The military’s media wing said that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from Indian sponsored killed Khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in these areas.

The statement said that sanitisation operations were being conducted to eliminate any other khwarji found in the area.

“The security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian Sponsored Terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have paid tribute to the security forces for carrying out successful counter-terrorism operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

In a statement the president highlighted that the dedication and courage of Pakistan’s soldiers continue to safeguard the nation from the menace of terrorism.

He noted that these operations are a clear reflection of the country’s unwavering determination to crush terrorism sponsored by India and reaffirmed that the struggle will go on until every terrorist and their supporters are brought to justice.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his statement, reiterated that the fight against terrorism will not cease until the threat is completely wiped out.

He pointed out that the officers and jawans of the Pakistan Army are relentlessly working around the clock to foil the designs of the Khawarij and the Hindustani Fitna.

“The entire Pakistani nation stands firmly united with its armed forces in ensuring the defense of the country,” PM Shehbaz said.
