Islamabad (Staff Report/Agencies): The 70th death anniversary of Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah observed on Monday with due solemnity and reverence.
Quran Khawani and Fateha held at Quaid's mausoleum, while people of different walks of life visited the Mazar to lay floral wreath and offer Fateha.
Several public and private organizations and educational institutions arranged ceremonies to highlight different aspects of the life of Quaid-e-Azam.
Media aired special programmes to pay homage to the great leader.
Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Mural Ali Shah and Sindh cabinet members visited the mausoleum of father of the nation. They laid floral wreath and offered Fateha.
Talking to media on this occasion, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail said that the philosophy of Quaid-e-Azam is the beacon for the nation.
He said that all federal government projects in the province will be completed with the cooperation of Sindh government.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on the occasion said that society will be peaceful by following the theory of Quaid-e-Azam.
