Islamabad (Staff Report): Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar has said that supremacy of law should be maintained as injustice caused of unrest and anarchy.
“Judiciary provides justice according to law and constitution,” Saqib Nisar said on Monday while addressing full court reference on the beginning of the new judicial year at Courtroom No 1 of the Supreme Court.
The CJP said court had right to review the acts of any institution and authority on violating the Constitution.
On the event, the Chief Justice urged the judges to away from any kind of influence while running the court matters.
He further highlighted that 29,657 cases were settled under human rights cell.
The new judicial year 2017-18 in the apex court is going to start from today (September 11) amid many challenges of accountability and the backlog of cases.
