Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Monday, where they discussed the overall national situation, developments related to Afghanistan, and the evolving regional landscape.
During the meeting, both leaders paid tribute to the martyrs of Marka-e-Haq, praised the professional capabilities of the armed forces, and reaffirmed their commitment to the country’s defence and security.
President Zardari noted that despite challenging geographical conditions, regional tensions in the Middle East, and disruptions in global supply chains, efforts should be made to provide maximum relief to the public.
He directed that effective measures be taken to curb inflation, ensure the availability of essential commodities, and ease financial pressure on the common man.
The meeting underscored continued coordination between the country’s top civil leadership on key political, security, and economic issues.
