Islamabad (Web Desk): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the Islamabad Safe City Headquarters and chaired a high-level meeting to review progress on transforming the Safe City project into a modern “Capital Smart City.”

During the visit, he inspected ongoing renovation work and system upgrades at the headquarters and directed authorities to complete the project at the earliest in line with international standards.

Mohsin Naqvi announced that the scope of the Safe City initiative would be expanded by bringing all relevant institutions onto a unified platform.

The move, he said, aims to improve coordination in security and administrative operations across the capital.

He described the project as a major milestone toward ensuring a safer and more peaceful environment for citizens of Islamabad, adding that the use of advanced technology would significantly enhance crime control and monitoring capabilities.

Officials noted that the upgrade to a Smart City system is expected to improve surveillance, traffic management, and emergency response services, bringing a comprehensive transformation in urban governance.
