Islamabad (Web Desk): Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Saturday said that neither the government nor the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) contacted him regarding the scheduling of a third round of talks between the negotiation committees of the two sides.

He expressed his willingness to call a session at short notice, either a day or two, as soon as both sides come to an agreement.

In response to the PTI negotiation committee’s request to meet the party’s founder, the NA Speaker clarified that he is not responsible for arranging such a meeting and that this onus fell on the government.

He pointed out that it is up to the government and its allies to determine whether the meeting should take place.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq further mentioned that he had already relayed the PTI's demand to the government during a call with PTI leader Asad Qaiser on January 4.

He suggested that PTI leaders should directly engage with senior government officials, such as Rana Sanaullah, to address the matter.
