DPM Dar discusses regional situation with Turkiye, Iran FMs

Islamabad (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Wednesday reached out separately to the foreign ministers of Turkiye and Iran as concerns continue to grow over Iran’s nuclear programme and its broader regional implications.

In his conversation with Turkiye Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, the two officials reviewed recent regional and global developments and discussed areas of common interest.

They reaffirmed the need for sustained cooperation and agreed to stay closely aligned on matters of shared priority.
Dar also held a separate telephone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, during which he stressed that dialogue and diplomatic engagement remain essential for preserving stability in the region.

The two sides expressed their resolve to maintain regular contact and coordination, underscoring the importance of continued communication at a sensitive time.
