Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant drop on Monday, as reported by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association.
The value of 24-karat gold per tola declined by Rs3,600, bringing the new rate down to Rs358,800 compared to Rs362,400 recorded on the previous trading session.
Similarly, the price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold saw a reduction of Rs3,086, settling at
Rs307,613, down from Rs310,699. The 22-karat variant followed the same downward trend, falling by Rs2,829 to be priced at Rs281,988, whereas it stood at Rs284,817 previously.
Silver also witnessed a decrease in both per tola and 10-gram rates. The cost of one tola of silver dropped by Rs51, now trading at Rs4,013. Meanwhile, 10 grams of silver saw a Rs44 cut, bringing its new price to Rs3,440.
On the global front, the international market reflected a similar pattern with gold prices slipping by $36 to reach $3,361 from the earlier level of $3,397.
Silver prices also edged downwards, losing $0.51 to settle at $37.80, in contrast to the previous rate of $38.31.
