Islamabad (Web Desk): Negotiations between Iran and the United States (US) taking place in Islamabad are likely to run late into the night and may even carry on until Sunday, as reported by American media outlets.

According to CNN, which cited sources in Pakistan, the timeline of the discussions could be extended, with the possibility of further sessions if required.

The reports also underscored Pakistan’s role in facilitating dialogue, helping bring both Tehran and Washington to the table for talks.

In the meantime, Pakistan’s Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar pointed out that the strained relationship between Iran and the US spans nearly five decades, and such deep-rooted issues cannot be resolved in just a few hours.

He noted that representatives from both sides are staying in close coordination with their respective governments, seeking guidance from their leadership before reaching any conclusions.

Tarar further mentioned that although the discussions were originally expected to conclude around April 10, they could now continue into Sunday if the progress remains encouraging.
