New Delhi (Staff Report): India has decided to halt the release 12 Pakistani fishermen who were cleared to return home tomorrow in retaliation to the death sentence of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav.

The fishermen were to be released yesterday but the prevention order came immediately after Jadhav’s death sentence was announced.

Indian foreign ministry has denied Jadhav as a spy and termed his sentence as a ‘premeditated murder’.

Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said that Indian RAW agent Kulbhushan Jadhav’s death sentence was as per the law of the country, adding that it is premature to state when the decision will be implemented.

After the Indian High Commission confirmed the news, separate meetings were held in foreign ministry, National Security Directorate and intelligence headquarter in which future strategy was planned.

Moreover, the Indian High Commission in Islamabad was also directed to give every detail of the matter.
