London (Web Desk): A demonstration was organised in Britain to protest against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and termed its hostile approach towards minority communities.

British newspaper The Independent reported that a significant number of demonstrators gathered outside Parliament while RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat was visiting the country.

Indian media reports said the protesters also voiced concern over what they described as the British government’s failure to speak out against the ideology promoted by the Hindu nationalist group.

The demonstrators stressed that the 2002 Gujarat massacre must remain part of public memory and appealed for collective action against fascism.

Earlier, a US commission had called for Bhagwat’s visa to be revoked and recommended that he be denied entry into the United States.
