Islamabad (Web Desk): Federal Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal has expressed government’s commitment to bring health sector at par with international standards and make essential medical services readily available to citizens in their local communities.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the 23rd Health Asia Exhibition in Karachi, he said the government was also moving towards greater digitalisation of the healthcare sector.
The minister noted that the initiative would make it easier for people to access health services while also creating greater opportunities for the industry.
Mustafa Kamal said more than 200 companies were showcasing their products and services at the exhibition.
The health minister added that over 30 conferences were scheduled as part of the three-day event, with a number of memorandums of understanding also expected to be signed during the expo.
