Islamabad (Web Desk): The government has announced another increase in petroleum prices, raising petrol by Rs3.40 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs6.72 per litre with effect from Thursday, September 10, 2026.
The latest adjustment marks the third consecutive increase in fuel prices in Pakistan. Over the past three days alone as petrol has become Rs21.88 per litre more expensive while the price of diesel has gone up by Rs14.62 per litre.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy’s Petroleum Division, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot rates of petroleum products on Wednesday under the government’s existing fuel pricing mechanism.
Following the latest revision, the price of petrol has climbed from Rs364.35 to Rs367.75 per litre, reflecting an increase of Rs3.40.
The price of high-speed diesel has also been revised upward by Rs6.72 per litre, moving from Rs385.95 to Rs392.67 per litre.
The revised rates will remain applicable until Thursday, as the government continues to review domestic fuel prices in response to movements in international oil markets and other related cost pressures.
In the preceding review conducted on Wednesday, the government had already raised the price of petrol by Rs5.58 per litre, while the price of diesel was increased by Rs4.18 per litre.
