Lahore (Web Desk): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has launched its new and first live streaming platform called ‘PCB Live’, aimed at providing cricket fans around the world with direct access to live matches.
According to PCB, ‘PCB Live’ is the board’s first OTT (Over-The-Top) service and will initially be available for cricket fans in the United Kingdom. Fans can register their accounts at live.pcb.com.pk.
The cricket board stated that this platform will soon be launched in other countries as well. The very first live series to be streamed on this OTT platform will be between Pakistan and South Africa.
Furthermore, a mobile app for ‘PCB Live’ will be launched in the last week of October, allowing users to enjoy matches on mobile phones and other smart devices.
PCB has confirmed that the platform will broadcast all international matches (Tests, ODIs, and T20s) of the Pakistani team, along with the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and selected domestic tournaments.
In addition, users will have access to PCB’s archive content, player interviews, documentaries, and the latest news. This initiative is being regarded as a significant milestone in achieving digital broadcasting independence for Pakistan cricket.
