Gold price increases by Rs7,400, reaches to Rs 429,862per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): Gold and silver prices surged sharply on Monday, marking a significant upward shift in the precious metals market, according to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa-Gems and Jewellers Association.

The price of 24-karat gold per tola soared by Rs7,400, reaching Rs429,862 compared to Rs422,462 a day earlier. Likewise, 10 grams of 24-karat gold climbed by Rs6,337 to Rs368,530, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs5,551, settling at Rs337,573.

In the global market, gold also extended its rally, jumping by $74 to touch $4,075 per ounce.

Silver followed a similar trajectory, with the 24-karat tola gaining Rs115 to reach Rs5,209, and 10 grams increasing by Rs98 to Rs4,465. Internationally, silver advanced by $1.15, closing at $49.47 per ounce.

The association clarified that the quoted rates are calculated on the basis of 24-karat purity under the 999 standard.
