DPM Ishaq Dar in Malaysia to attend ASEAN ministerial meeting

Kuala Lumpur (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday to attend the 32nd ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting, which is set to convene on Friday.

Upon his arrival at the Malaysian capital, he was welcomed by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Malaysia, Syed Ahsan Raza, along with senior officials from Malaysia’s foreign ministry.

The annual ministerial meeting will see participation from foreign ministers and representatives of 27 member states of the ARF, alongside the ASEAN Secretary-General.

The forum provides a platform for dialogue on major political and security issues concerning the Asia-Pacific region.

The discussions will focus on strengthening regional peace, enhancing stability, and promoting cooperation through multilateral engagement.

During his visit, DPM Dar is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with his Malaysian counterpart and other foreign ministers attending the event.

The deputy premier will also engage with the Pakistani community in Kuala Lumpur.
