Jeddah (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar arrived in Jeddah after completing his visit to Madinah.

Upon his arrival, the deputy premier was received by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Farooq, along with representatives from the Saudi Royal Protocol, the Deputy Consul General, and other officials of the Pakistani mission in Jeddah.

During his stay, DPM Dar is set to take part in the extraordinary session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFMs) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

According to details, a key item on the agenda is to discuss the potential diplomatic and political repercussions of Israel’s recognition of the Somaliland region, an issue that could spark significant regional sensitivities.

During his visit, DPM Dar is also scheduled to meet with his counterparts from other OIC member states to discuss opportunities for bilateral cooperation and exchange views on regional and global matters.

Important topics on Pakistan's foreign policy, including economic and political ties between Islamic countries, regional peace and stability, and shared global interests for Muslims, will be highlighted.

In addition, DPM Dar will officially inaugurate the new chancery building of the Pakistan Consulate in Jeddah, marking a significant milestone for the diplomatic mission.

The meeting not only serves as a platform for expressing solidarity on the Somalia issue but also provides Pakistan with an opportunity to strengthen its global stance and promote regional partnerships.
