Jeddah (Web Desk): Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and former Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar, will participate in the special meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFMs) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah.
The meeting, which will see the participation of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran, and 22 other Islamic countries, aims to express solidarity with Somalia.
A key item on the agenda is to discuss the potential diplomatic and political repercussions of Israel’s recognition of the Somaliland region, an issue that could spark significant regional sensitivities.
During his visit, Ishaq Dar is also scheduled to meet with his counterparts from other OIC member states to discuss opportunities for bilateral cooperation and exchange views on regional and global matters.
Important topics on Pakistan's foreign policy, including economic and political ties between Islamic countries, regional peace and stability, and shared global interests for Muslims, will be highlighted.
The meeting not only serves as a platform for expressing solidarity on the Somalia issue but also provides Pakistan with an opportunity to strengthen its global stance and promote regional partnerships.
