Islamabad (Web Desk): The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released a detailed weather forecast for the next 24 hours.
According to details, cold and dry weather is expected to prevail in most parts of the country, with temperatures in mountainous regions likely to remain extremely low.
Fog is expected to persist in the plains of Punjab, upper Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while mist is expected to form at some places in the Pothohar region and Kashmir during the morning hours.
The report also noted that over the past 24 hours, 1mm of rain was recorded in Turbat, while fog disrupted daily life in Punjab, upper Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The minimum temperatures recorded in various regions of the country today were as follows: Leh -14°C, Skardu -13°C, Astore and Gupis -10°C, Hunza and Gilgit -8°C, Kalat and Bagrote -6°C, and Dir -5°C.
According to the meteorological department, the minimum temperatures in major cities were recorded as follows: Islamabad 0°C, Quetta -3°C, Murree -1°C, Lahore and Karachi 9°C, Peshawar 1°C, and Muzaffarabad 3°C. Citizens have been advised to take precautionary measures due to the cold weather and fog.
