Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday extended his congratulations to the nation following a remarkable rise in foreign remittances for December 2024.
The country saw an increase in remittances, reaching $3.1 billion, marking a growth of 5.6% from November 2024.
Compared to December 2023, the growth was even more striking, with a year-on-year rise of 29.3%.
In a statement, the premier acknowledged the unwavering dedication of overseas Pakistanis, whose contributions were instrumental in this achievement.
He expressed that the significant boost in remittances was a testament to their commitment to the country’s progress.
PM Shehbaz also reaffirmed that Pakistan, having regained economic stability, was now on a trajectory towards long-term growth.
He emphasized that the government’s focus remained on fostering national development and improving the welfare of the people.
