Islamabad (Staff Report): President Mamnoon Hussain has summoned a session of the National Assembly on August 13 at 10am.
The president signed a summary approving the NA session on Monday forwarded to him by the caretaker prime minister.
According to details, the newly-elected members will take oath of their office on the first day of the session.
Outgoing Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq will administer oath to the newly elected members. This will be followed by elections for the speaker, deputy speaker, and the leader of the House.
Caretaker Prime Minister Justice (retd) Nasir-ul-Mulk on Thursday had formally forwarded a summary to the President to summon the session of the National Assembly (NA) on Monday.
Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor also summoned the first session of the newly-elected members of K-P Assembly on August 13.
The session will be held for oath-taking ceremony and election of the speaker, deputy speaker and chief minister.
