PM Shehbaz trims petrol price by Rs12, diesel by Rs135 per litre

Islamabad (Web Desk): Shehbaz Sharif has announced a reduction in petroleum prices. According to the prime minister, the price of diesel has been reduced by Rs135 per litre, while petrol has been cut by Rs12 per litre.

Addressing the nation, the prime minister said he was speaking at a historic moment, adding that the situation in the Gulf region is moving toward peace rather than conflict. He said both sides have shown willingness to resolve issues through dialogue.

He thanked the leadership of Iran and the United States for accepting his proposal and agreeing to talks. The prime minister said the leaders of both countries will visit Islamabad for discussions.

He added that both sides have agreed to a temporary ceasefire and have been invited to Islamabad for negotiations. The prime minister also congratulated the foreign minister and his team for their efforts, and especially praised Asim Munir for his role.
