Peshawar (Staff Report/Agencies): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday arrived in Peshawar to review the coronavirus situation in the province.
The prime minister visited the Hayatabad Medical Complex and was briefed about the measures being taken to stem the spread of coronavirus in the province.
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan on Friday rose to 4,687.
At least 2, 279 cases reported in Punjab, 1214 in Sindh, 620 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 219 in Balochistan, 215 in Gilgit Baltistan, 107 in Islamabad, and 33 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the National Command and Control Centre, the death toll related to COVID-19 has reached 66, while at least 727 patients have fully recovered.
Earlier a day, PM Khan visited Quetta to review the coronavirus situation in the province.
The prime minister was received by Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal on arrival in the city. He is accompanied by federal ministers Asad Umer and Zubaida Jalal.
The PM was also briefed about the current situation and the steps taken by the authorities to stem the spread of the virus in the province.
