President Zardari, PM Shehbaz condemn firing on police mobile in Panjgur

Islamabad (Web Desk): President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on strongly condemned the firing on a police mobile in Panjgur.

In their separate messages, they paid homage to Sub Inspector Shakeel Ahmed who was martyred in the incident, for his dedication to duty.

In his message, the President condoled with the bereaved family of the martyr and prayed for his high ranks and patience for his family.

Shehbaz Sharif said the entire nation pays tribute to the martyrs sacrificing their lives in the war against terrorism.

“The whole nation stands by the soldiers sacrificing their lives in the fight against terrorism. This war will continue till the elimination of this scourge in toto,” the premier said resolved.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also strongly condemned the incident of firing on a police mobile van in Panjgur, resulting in the martyrdom of Sub-Inspector Shakeel Ahmed.

Mohsin Naqvi paid homage to Sub-Inspector Shakil Ahmed for sacrificing his life in the line of duty. He prayed for the eternal peace to the departed soul and expressed condolences with his bereaved family.

A police sub-inspector Shakeel Ahmed was killed late Sunday after gunmen opened fire on a police patrol in Panjgur’s Chitkan Bazaar.

The gunmen fled the scene before additional police reinforcements arrived.

The body of the slain officer was taken to a nearby hospital, and forensic teams started collecting evidence from the site.
