Baku (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to peace and solidarity with Azerbaijan and Türkiye, emphasizing that Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are beyond question.
Speaking at Azerbaijan’s Victory Day parade, which was attended by delegations from Türkiye, the Prime Minister highlighted the deep ties among the three nations. “It is truly a proud moment to witness our armed forces marching alongside their Azerbaijani and Turkish counterparts, with JF-17 Thunder jets soaring above — a powerful symbol of our enduring friendship,” he remarked.
Recalling the celebrations of Pakistan’s Independence Day on August 14, PM Shehbaz Sharif noted the participation of Azerbaijani and Turkish troops in Pakistan’s military parade, commemorating shared victories. He praised Azerbaijan’s triumph in the Karabakh region as a victory for justice, drawing parallels with struggles for sovereignty in places like Gaza and Indian-occupied Kashmir.
The Prime Minister also acknowledged the crucial support extended by Azerbaijan and Türkiye during Pakistan's conflict with India in May, expressing gratitude for their assistance. He concluded by offering prayers for Azerbaijan’s martyrs, while marking the fifth anniversary of Azerbaijan’s victory in the 44-day war.
