Anushka’s upcoming film, "Chakda 'Xpress", is a sports biographical drama in which she plays the role of Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. Jhulan Goswami, who played for the Indian women’s cricket team from 2002 to 2022, hails from the small town of Chakdaha in West Bengal, and the film has been named "Chakda 'Xpress" in reference to her hometown.
The shooting for the film was completed, but there were delays in its release due to production and post-production issues between Netflix and the production company. Reports suggest that Netflix had concerns specifically regarding the production of the film's final segment. However, it now appears that these issues have been resolved, and the release process is expected to be completed soon.
"Chakda 'Xpress" was originally set to release in 2024, but the production delays pushed back the timeline. Now, it has been confirmed that the film will soon be available on Netflix, and Anushka Sharma’s fans are eagerly awaiting her return to the screen.
