Tehran (Web Desk): A spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a stern warning to the United States and Israel, stating that if attacks on energy and fuel facilities do not stop, Iran will respond with similar retaliatory measures.

According to Iranian state media, the IRGC spokesperson accused the U.S. and Israel of deliberately targeting civilian areas and critical energy infrastructure, actions that could threaten regional stability. He emphasized that while the IRGC has so far refrained from striking civilian or strategic targets, continued attacks could force Iran to escalate its response.

The spokesperson also highlighted the need to apply pressure on Gulf countries to help prevent further provocations in the region. He stressed that the ongoing hostilities are not only a military matter but also have economic implications, particularly for the global oil market.

In a pointed and somewhat ironic statement, the spokesperson said that if the international oil market can endure prices above $200 per barrel, the cycle of attacks and counterattacks is likely to continue. Analysts note that such remarks underscore Iran’s willingness to use energy resources as leverage in the escalating confrontation with the U.S. and Israel.

This statement comes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, with both sides signaling their readiness to continue military operations while also seeking to influence regional allies and global markets. The situation reflects the growing risks of further escalation and the potential for economic as well as strategic repercussions across the region.
