Islamabad (Web Desk): A major development has emerged in the politics of Azad Kashmir amid the ongoing protest wave, as a key member of the outlawed Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), Syed Faisal Gilani, has rejected the group’s violent narrative and formally announced complete dissociation from the organization.
According to Neo News Bureau Chief Islamabad, Javed Baloch, Syed Faisal Gilani strongly condemned the recent violent incidents in Rawalakot carried out under the banner of the Joint Awami Action Committee, including attacks on public and private property, as well as acts of arson and vandalism.
Syed Faisal Gilani stated that they had initially joined the outlawed Joint Action Committee purely for the protection of public interests and rights; however, the organization has now completely deviated from its original path and objectives.
Expressing regret, he said that violent actions being carried out in the name of public rights have now resulted in harm to innocent citizens, which no patriotic individual can accept.
Javed Baloch further reported that according to Syed Faisal Gilani, the people of Azad Kashmir are peace-loving and are rejecting the violent and disruptive narrative of the outlawed Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), demonstrating political awareness and responsibility.
Sources further suggest that following Syed Faisal Gilani’s resignation and serious allegations, significant disappointment has spread within the internal ranks of the group, and it is being speculated that more members may also distance themselves from the violent narrative in the coming days.
