Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices surged sharply across Pakistan on Thursday, with the price of one tola rising by more than Rs3,000 amid an increase in international bullion rates.
According to the Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (PGJA), the price of one tola of gold climbed by Rs3,600, taking it to Rs433,836.
The association said the price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs3,086, reaching Rs371,944.
Meanwhile, gold prices in the international market also moved higher, with the price per ounce gaining $36 to stand at $4,113.
The rise in global bullion prices was reflected in the local market, pushing gold rates higher across the country.
