Rawalpindi (Staff Report): At least five terrorists were killed and a law enforcement agency’s personnel embraced martyrdom in the exchange of fire between the Rangers and the suspected terrorists in Dera Ghazi Khan on Sunday.
According to the military’s media wing, Pakistan Rangers Punjab carried out an intelligence-based raid in Dera Ghazi Khan.
Punjab Rangers’ Sepoy Kamran embraced martyrdom in the exchange of fire between the Rangers and the suspected terrorists, while Deputy Superintendent Rangers Haroon was injured and evacuated to CMH Multan, ISPR said.
The raid was carried out as part of the ongoing military offensive, Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad. It was launched after a series of deadly bombings across Pakistan killed over 100 people in February.
