Dhaka (Web Desk): Interior Minister and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi on Friday arrived in Bangladesh on a 2-day visit.
At the airport, he was received by Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Saim and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Nazimuddin.
Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Imran Haider, was also present on the occasion.
During the visit, Interior Minister Naqvi is expected to meet former Bangladesh cricket captain Tamim Iqbal, who is currently performing duties as the acting president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
Their discussions are reportedly anticipated to centre around arrangements and planning for the upcoming Asia Cup, which is scheduled to take place next year.
Alongside his responsibilities as PCB chairman, Naqvi will also attend various meetings in his role as head of the Asian Cricket Council.
Officials and representatives from multiple member countries of the ACC are also expected to participate in the deliberations taking place in Dhaka.
