Lahore (Web Desk): The Punjab government has announced the temporary closure of all educational institutions across the province for the upcoming Friday (May 10) and Saturday (May 11) in response to heightened security concerns.

This measure, for schools, colleges, and universities in both the public and private sectors, was confirmed by Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat.

Emphasizing the temporary nature of the move, he assured that normal academic operations are expected to resume on Monday, May 12.

The decision has been taken purely as a safety precaution to protect students, educators, and support staff during the current situation.

It is worth noting that the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) had already deferred the intermediate and matriculation examinations scheduled for earlier this week.
