5.3-magnitude earthquake jolts parts of KP

Swat (Web Desk): Residents of Swat, Shangla, Buner, and other districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa felt strong tremors earlier today, causing panic and prompting many to rush out of their homes.

People in Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Dera Bala, and Dera Ismail Khan reported sudden shaking that startled the local population.

According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake measured 5.3 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter located in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of approximately 216 kilometers underground.

Following the tremors, residents recited Kalma Tayyaba while evacuating their homes as a precaution. Fortunately, no casualties or property damage have been reported so far.
