Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday called on all stakeholders to remain composed and to allow diplomacy a greater opportunity, as international and regional actors continue coordinated efforts to reach a peaceful settlement of the ongoing Middle East tensions.

In a statement posted on his account on X, the prime minister referred to the recent wave of intensified violence in the region, saying it highlights once again how unstable ceasefire arrangements can be and the severe humanitarian and political repercussions that follow any breakdown.

He underscored that careful, sincere, and continuous diplomatic interaction is crucial to prevent the situation from worsening further and to ensure stability across the region is protected.

The prime minister posted on X, “The recent surge in violence in the Middle East is a stark reminder of the dangers associated with a tenuous ceasefire and the unbearable consequences it may lead to.

As we work earnestly and painstakingly, together with our brothers and partners, to find a peaceful diplomatic solution to the conflict, and especially when the final objective is just about to be achieved, we sincerely urge all sides to exercise restraint and give peace a little more chance.”

He further reiterated that all parties should remain committed to the path of dialogue and diplomacy, noting that it offers far better prospects for success than continued violence and destruction.
