Lahore (Staff Report): Chairman Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Dr Tahirul Qadri on Tuesday said that the he had come back to Pakistan to seek justice for 2014 Model Town incident’s victims and their families.
Scores of PAT workers received him at Allama Iqbal International Airport this morning while police have been deployed to ensure any untoward incident does not take place.
The PAT chief is known for his anti-Nawaz stance and is expected to lead a rally from the airport to Nasir Bagh, where he will address workers.
Qadri had allied himself with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) during its 2014 protest 'sit-in' against the government in Islamabad but later the two parties went their separate ways.
A case has also been registered against the two leaders on charges of destroying public property during the sit-in.
