Washington (Web Desk): US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced that America carried out a decisive military operation against Iran, forcing Tehran to accept a ceasefire. He described Operation Epic Fury as a historic success and said that President Trump achieved results unprecedented for any US president.
During a media briefing, Hegseth stated that the operation completely destroyed Iran’s defense systems, severely weakened its navy and air force, and neutralized hundreds of missiles before they could reach their targets.
He claimed that Iran’s new Supreme Leader was injured and that the Supreme Council along with Iran’s military and intelligence leadership had been effectively dismantled.
Hegseth emphasized that US ground forces conducted operations without sustaining any casualties. He highlighted that previous US presidents had only made statements regarding Iran, while President Trump delivered tangible results. “Iran has learned a harsh lesson about confronting the United States,” he said.
He added that Iran’s key weapons manufacturing facilities were destroyed, creating a “real opportunity for peace” in the region. Hegseth noted, “No other US president could have secured such an effective outcome. We are immensely proud of our armed forces.”
US Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Kinne also described the 38-day operation as a remarkable success and commended American leadership. He paid tribute to the 13 US service members who sacrificed their lives during the mission and welcomed the ceasefire with Iran.
This operation is considered one of the largest and most decisive US military actions against Iran, with significant implications for regional security and the balance of power.
