Gaza City (Web Desk): The Gaza Government Media Office has reported that Israel's military actions in Gaza have resulted in the deaths of 211 journalists.
This includes the tragic death of Ahmed Mansour, who succumbed to severe burns after an Israeli airstrike targeted a media tent.
Mansour’s death marks the 211th media worker killed during Israel's offensive in Gaza, according to the international media quoting thew office's statement.
As per the reports, the Gaza government’s media office has called on organizations such as the International Federation of Journalists, the Federation of Arab Journalists, and media groups worldwide to denounce these ongoing attacks on Palestinian journalists and media professionals in Gaza.
The statement urges these bodies to raise awareness about the systematic violence faced by journalists in the region.
According to reports from the Gaza Health Ministry, the recent escalation of Israeli military actions has claimed the lives of at least 1,391 Palestinians, raising the total death toll to 50,752 since the conflict reignited.
The United Nations (UN) has stated that Israel's military campaign has forced an overwhelming 90% of Gaza's population to flee their homes, with many being displaced multiple times as the violence continues.
In a significant move last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, accusing them of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a case of genocide at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), further intensifying global calls for accountability and justice for those affected by the ongoing conflict.
