Tehran (Web Desk): A seismic event in Iran’s Semnan province has raised speculations whether Iran has conducted its nuclear test.
The earthquake occurred in the Aradan city of Semnan province in Iran. Its intensity was 4.5 on the Richter scale while tremors were also reported in Israel a few minutes later.
According to the report of the European Mediterranean Seismic Centre (EMSC), the earthquake occurred around 12 o’clock but its intensity remained very low.
The seismic activity's epicentre was found in the Kavir desert close to Arad, and analyses of the event's similarities to nuclear tests rather than normal earthquake vibrations suggest that this was more like a nuclear test.
A report claimed that it is uncertain whether the shock was caused by a nuclear test or an earthquake because it occurred extremely near the nuclear power facility of Iran.
As per another report, the Iranian earthquake's epicentre was only 10 kilometres below the surface, raising the possibility that it was an underground nuclear test. In light of this, conjecture on Iran's nuclear test has intensified.
Due to the intense state of conflict between Iran and Israel, people have started linking the earthquakes in these two countries with Iran’s nuclear tests on social media platforms, mostly on X (formerly Twitter).
There have been speculations quoted by sources that it was not an earthquake rather Iran conducted underground nuclear testing due to which earthquake tremors were felt in the two countries.
