Missing PTI former MNA returns home

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and former member of National Assembly Sadaqat Ali Abbasi on Friday, returned back home after his 4 month disappearance.

Sadaqat Abbasi was missing since September 1.

Sadaqat Abbasi was named in the May 9 violent incidents case registered at RA Bazar police station Lahore.

A video circulating on social media showed his emotional reunion with family members.

 
 

Earlier on October 3, the Anti-Terrorism court (ATC) of Rawalpindi granted the bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf leader Sadaqat Ali Abbasi till October 10.

Sadaqat was picked up from outside Parliament Lodges by unknown people and a petition seeking his recovery was pending before the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

However, Sadaqat appeared before the Rawalpindi ATC to seek his pre-arrest interim bail. The judge allowed the bail against Rs 50,000 surety bond.

ATC Judge Malik Ejaz Asif also directed Sadaqat Abbasi to join the investigation and appear before police as and when required.

The hearing on his bail petition was adjourned till Oct 10.
