Karachi (Web Desk): Sri Lanka Cricket has unveiled the squads for their upcoming tour of Pakistan, which will see the island nation’s team engage in a bilateral One Day International (ODI) series, followed by a tri-nation T20I series featuring Pakistan and Zimbabwe.
According to the official announcement from the Sri Lanka Cricket Board, Charith Asalanka has been named captain for both the ODI and T20I squads. The selected squads include notable players such as Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Kamindu Mendis, Kamil Mishra, and Janith Liyanage, all of whom will be part of both formats.
Additionally, key players like Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana, Dushmantha Chameera, Asitha Fernando, and Ishan Malinga will also represent Sri Lanka in both the ODI and T20I series during the tour.
The Sri Lankan team will begin their tour with the bilateral ODI series against Pakistan, followed by the T20I tri-series, which will serve as a crucial part of their preparations leading up to upcoming international fixtures.
