Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif embarked on a two-day official visit to Azerbaijan on Friday to join the celebrations marking the fifth anniversary of the country’s Victory Day.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar is accompanying the premier on the trip.
During his visit, PM will hold a meeting with President Ilham Aliyev to discuss the broad spectrum of bilateral relations and explore new prospects for expanding cooperation in multiple areas, including trade, investment, energy, defence, education, and regional connectivity.
Pakistan and Azerbaijan share deep-rooted and friendly relations built on common faith, shared history, cultural affinity, and mutual respect.
The two nations also maintain close collaboration in regional and global organizations such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), and the United Nations (UN).
