Karachi (Web Desk): According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the value of the US dollar experienced a slight decrease in the interbank market on Friday. The dollar closed at 280.82 PKR, showing a decline of 3 paisas.

Compared to the previous day, the Pakistani rupee showed some stability, although there was minor fluctuation in the exchange rate in the open market.

Currency dealers reported that the decline in the dollar's value was mainly due to slower business activity and a reduction in import demand.

They also noted that the central bank's efforts to increase foreign exchange reserves, along with administrative measures in the market, have contributed to the stability of the rupee.

Economic experts believe that the future value of the US dollar will depend on global market trends, crude oil prices, and external debt payments.

Analysts have cautiously expressed optimism that the rupee may gradually improve if the flow of remittances continues.
