Lahore (Web Desk): The Meteorological Department has forecast dry and cold weather in several regions of Pakistan over the coming days. According to the department, Islamabad, Murree, Galyat, various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Azad Kashmir are expected to experience cold and dry conditions.
The weather department further stated that most cities in Punjab will remain cold, although there is a possibility of smog in the plains. In various areas of Balochistan, dry and cold weather is likely, while the majority of districts in Sindh are expected to remain warm.
Yesterday, rainfall and hailstorms were reported in Islamabad, Lower Dir, Kalam, Malam Jabba, Balakot, Abbottabad, and Muzaffarabad, which further intensified the cold. The minimum temperature recorded in these areas was minus 3°C in Leh, minus 1°C in Skardu, and 1°C in Babusar.
During this period, the public has been advised to take precautionary measures, especially to avoid the effects of smog and cold weather.
