Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that 31 innocent Pakistanis were martyred while 57 others injured in Indian unprovoked and blatant aggression inside Pakistan last night.

Giving an update on the latest situation tonight, he said that the cause of increased martyrdoms and injuries is the ceasefire violations at the Line of Control (LoC) by India.

He said that no religion allows targeting mosques and worship places and it is not humanity that innocent civilians are targeted by India.

The DG ISPR said that Pakistan armed forces selected only military targets contrary to India, which attacked civilian population.

He said that Pakistan's armed forces gave a befitting and strong response and shot down five Indian fighter jets. He said our valiant PAF engaged and took the Indian fighter jets down after they released the weapons.

Lt Gen Chaudhry mentioned that when India was resorting to the cowardly and senseless aggression, 57 domestic and international flights were in Pakistan's airspace. He said the Indian aggression put the lives of thousands of civilians in grave danger, who belong to different countries.

He said Pakistan Air Force proved its capability, skill and prowess and shot down Indian fighter jets. We are proud of our PAF.

The DG ISPR said Pakistan is responding to Indian aggression along the LoC in a befitting manner and will continue to do so.

He said that Pakistan responded in self-defense and once again expressed the resolve that Pakistan reserves the right and will respond to this aggression at a time, place and means of its own choice.

“The armed forces of Pakistan are proud of its brave nation and the entire nation also proud of its armed forces,” Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry asserted.

The DG ISPR made it clear that our desire for peace should not be misconstrued as our weakness.
He said that the armed forces of Pakistan will not compromise on security of the motherland.

The DG ISPR assured the nation that every drop of blood of our innocent people will be avenged with full might.
