Islamabad  (Web Desk): The Government of Japan has announced the MaxT Teachers Training Scholarship 2026 for Pakistani educators. This scholarship will offer teachers an opportunity to receive professional training and conduct research in the field of school education while gaining practical experience in Japan's teaching system.

According to the official statement, selected candidates will participate in a non-degree training and research program at a Japanese university. This program is not a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree program, but is designed specifically for professional training and research in school education. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be awarded a certificate.

The scholarship is being offered by Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT). The statement further explained that the program typically starts in October, and before the teaching activities begin, Japanese language training will be provided, as most courses and research guidance are delivered in Japanese.

Eligibility Criteria include the applicant's date of birth, which must be on or after April 2, 1991. The candidate must have a university degree or teacher training qualification, and at least five years of teaching experience at the primary or secondary level, or in a teacher training institution, by October 1, 2026. University faculty members are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Moreover, the candidate must be capable of staying in a foreign cultural environment for approximately 18 months for education and research, and be willing to learn the Japanese language.

The application deadline is February 12, 2026. Further details and the application procedure are available on the official website of the Embassy of Japan in Pakistan.
