California (Web Desk): OpenAI's popular artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, ChatGPT, is used daily by millions of people worldwide. According to a recent report, 40 million users turn to ChatGPT every day for answers to health-related questions.
The report highlights that users frequently ask about symptoms, medications, treatments, and other health-related details through the AI tool. More than 5% of all queries submitted to ChatGPT are health-related.
In addition, the report notes that out of the 800 million monthly users, 200 million users inquire about health topics at least once a week. Most of these users are concerned about the severity of a headache, the meaning of a complex diagnosis, or whether new medications are causing fatigue.
The report further indicates that 55% of users use ChatGPT to learn about symptoms, while 52% rely on the AI tool for health-related answers. 48% of users seek help in understanding medical terms or instructions, and 44% explore treatment options through the platform.
OpenAI states that this AI technology is especially useful for individuals who have limited access to healthcare professionals and need quick answers to their health questions.
