Rawalpindi (Web Desk): The British High Commissioner to Pakistan Dr Christian Turner called on a meeting with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters (GHQ), military's media wing said on Friday.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), matters of mutual interest, regional security situation, including developments regarding peace in Afghanistan, and bilateral cooperation in several fields.
The statement added that COAS said that it’s imperative for regional peace and stability that the international community assist Afghanistan to avert humanitarian crisis.
“The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for regional peace particularly in the Afghan situation,” the ISPR said.
